Thought LEC was fastest everywhere based on the sorting. Took me a minute to realise!

level 2

I wonder what the reasoning is for the order. The color of the box being the indicator for the faster time should be more pronounced.

level 1

Ferrari shocking in anything other than a straight line. Nothing new.

level 2

Look at LEC through Maggots and Becketts. Fast at the start and then way slower by the end.

Would have loved to see the names in order of fastest to slowest in each segment. But nice job nonetheless!

level 1

Jesus the Ferrari is terrible in turn 10-14.

level 2

That’s really a bad spot to be slow as well. If you want to either defend or attack, the straight in between 14 and 15 is the most likely part. Being slow in 10-14 means you’ll never be close if you want to overtake. Or you will have lost a lot of advantage if you need to defend.

level 2

We are judging just Leclerc’s times here. Imagine if Seb’s times were here…..he was so much slower!

level 1

Not sure if i am reading this right but it almost looks like Red Bull has the best all round car, yes i know it isn’t true still on a lot of speed traps they are the 2nd team

I think Max is driving on a different level. Even though the car has the least amount of power compared to the other 2 teams, he’s managed to stay on par with them at most points of the circuit and that is bloody amazing!

level 1

That Mercedes got to have more wing on it than the red bull I suppose

level 2

Yeah and i think Bottas is running more than Hamilton but this is based on looking at the time gaps on the side-by-side video the f1 twitter posted earlier, it coild just be Ham getting a better exit.

level 2

Could also be driving style. Turn 3 and 4 from Max might be explained by slow in and fast out behaiviour. Go slow trough turn 3 and 4 to get the best exit and reach a higher speed at turn 5. You can use multiple different lines trough 3&4. Same goes from turn 7 till 9, where again Max might have taken a later apex. Slow in, fast out.

level 1

It seems like the longer the corner the slower Ferrari is. Performance in sharp curves is decent, but in long sweeping corners Ferrari is having a shocker.

level 1

If the Ferrari engine wasn’t as amazing as it is, Ferrari could have truly fallen to F1.5

level 2

If the Red Bull aero wasn ‘t as good as it is, they truly would have fallen to F1.5

And aside from that, Ferrari don’t have a significantly better engine tham Mercedes, they just have a more low drag concept than Mercedes.

level 1

This is fun, haven’t seen it before but hopefully I can see something like this every qualifying

level 1

13 kph down out of becketts & chapel, 5kph up at the end of the straight.

Jesus Christ.

IMO would be better if the speeds in each box were actually sorted by speed.

Verstappen has a very all around car tbh
