Neuroscience expert Matilde Leonardi believes that seven-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher is in a state of “minimal consciousness” that allows him to cry and move his head and fingers.

According to Le Parisien, Schumacher was brought to Paris in strict secrecy, where he will receive special cell therapy under the guidance of renowned surgeon Philippe Menasche at the Georges-Pompidou Hospital. Menasche is described by the French media as a pioneer of cell surgery in preventing heart failure.

The legendary German driver is still recovering from a severe skiing accident in 2013, and his medical condition remains a closely guarded secret to this day.

The director of the Milan Neurological Institute and the member of the Italian Neurological Society Matilde Leonardi believes that Schumacher is in a state of so-called “minimal consciousness”.

“According to the facts we know, there is a difference between ‘vegetative’ and ‘minimal consciousness’. Patients who are in Schumacher’s condition can open their eyes, turn their heads when called, move their fingers and cry. ”
