Thank you for the fight Robert.

level 2

This is so sad. The team did not allow him to fulfill his full potential.

level 1

Incoming lot of jokes you have heard million times

level 1

I don’t intend to be racing with Williams in 2020, either. Still one of the greatest comebacks in the history of F1.

What are the chances it’s not going to be Latifi who will be replacing him, though?

level 2

Still one of the greatest comebacks in the history of F1.

Yes it was

What are the chances it’s not going to be Latifi who will be replacing him, though?

Too high, that’s what the chances are.

level 2

Totally agree…it’s Latifi.

level 1

Too bad to see this legend go. Apart from the fact that he might not score any points this year, he has an uplifting spirit. Check the mini docu (or just video) on the Polish fans at Hockenheim, I like the impact he has on his fans.

level 2

He’s got a point this season, scored at Germany

level 2

Actually he has scored a point this year 🙂

level 1

I think we’ll see him in DTM next season given recent links to Audi

level 2

Not necessarily, one of Racing Point directors visited Orlen HQ just days ago – noone knows why – but it’s possible Kubica could opt for a testing/backup driver position in RP rather than pretending to be racing in Williams. Because FW42 is clearly not a race car, it’s just means of transportation around the circuit. Does anyone believe FW43 will actually be competetive?

level 1

The timing of this is interesting… Hulk to Williams?

level 2

Williams hiring another non pay driver? Doubt it

level 1

So, there’s a possibility for Hulk to come to Williams?

level 2

A very, very slim one. If Hulk wasn’t willing to take a pay cut to drive for Renault what are the chances Williams will offer him something he can agree to? When what they will be offering is a paid drive.

level 2

Williams needs the pay driver cash, i doubt it

level 2

Only if he can bring more sponsorship than Latifi.

level 1

Curious if Kubica resigned from working with Williams or the other way… Official statement might give some clues but we’ll never know for sure.

level 2

Latifi is not guaranteed to get his superlicence. It’s almost certain but not 100% certain. Willaims wouldn’t risk it suddenly finding themselves without a driver for 2020 season so if they wanted Latifi in place of Kubica, they would wait until it was sure that Latifi can actually drive in F1 next season.

So I believe it was Robert who resigned. And no wonder.
