After his free trainings, Sebastian Vettel was pleased with the performance of the new Ferrari aerodynamic package, while pointing out that Mercedes was still faster than the competition on slow lanes.
Sebastian Vettel finished second in third place with the fastest Hamilton behind just over eight tenths.
The German nonetheless looks forward to the weekend as he believes Ferrari has taken a significant step forward.
Many new parts have been tried and more or less all updates are working as expected. Although I still can't ride the car the way I want it to, it is much better here than in previous races. I think we can be satisfied, because before the weekend we knew that this track was not written to our skin. The main problem is the lack of grip, and in this area we have the most work ahead of qualifications. In fact, we have taken a step forward, but Mercedes is still faster.
