Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff was deeply disappointed by the performance of his team, which once again had to acknowledge the superiority of Ferrari and Charles Leclerc. If Ferrari's dominance in Spa and Monza was expected, Wolff warns that the defeat in Singapore is already a signal for the silver arrows.
After showing yesterday that pole position would be fought by Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, on Saturday Ferrari stepped on the gas and Charles Leclerc will start from the best starting position for the third time in a row.
Qualifying also surprised Mercedes team boss Tot Wolff.
We were expecting a fight with Verstappen, but Ferrari surprised us all a bit. Obviously their updates are working very well and we will have to put together quickly as they are faster everywhere now. They gained a few tens on the plains, but this time they didn't lose in turns. Even though the statistics are not in our favor, tomorrow we will try to fight to win.
