Lewis Hamilton regretted the lost opportunity after the end of the race for the Singapore GP, believing that Mercedes had lost the “easy” victory this time with the wrong strategy.
Hamilton, who started the race from the second starting place, only came in fourth place, but the Briton thinks he should have made the start in the boxing area much earlier.
Hamilton said after the race:
“We should take the risk and be the first to stop. I already told the team at this morning's meeting, but they didn't. It hurts a bit because we realize we could easily win, but things like that happen in F1. We are still the best team and we will try again in the next race. “
