F1 Russia: Starting Type by Penalty Shared

Charles Leclerc [Ferrari] overcame all competition with a sovereign performance at the Sochi Qualifiers and will start the race for the GP of Russia from the best starting position. Monacan was faster than Lewis Hamilton [Mercedes] by a good four tenths of a second, with Sebastian Vettel [Ferrari] taking third place.

Max Verstappen, Alexander Albon and Pierre Gasly received five penalty points for replacing a single component of the powertrain, while replacing the entire powertrain with Dannil Kvyat, and the Russian racer will begin that domestic race from the last startup type.

Robert Kubica also received the penalty for changing the powertrain.
