That really turned my stomach. Leclerc could not catch up but they were making the switch anyway by sabotaging Vettel. If there was no VSC, you are giving Mercedes a five second advantage by doing this. Total lunacy.
Leclerc’s position was….If Vettel gets by me at the start because I am going to play the team game to keep Ferrari 1/2 then he has to give up the position to me.
Fuck that. The team should have said, you are making that move at the start for the team and whatever happens after that, happens. As if Leclerc was ever gonna move over and give Hamilton the tow over Vettel anyway in that scenario.
