Haas team leader Guenther Steiner poured out his anger over the race steward after the race for the GP of Russia, “awarding” Kevin Magnussen a five-second penalty on his race time.
Magnussen finished eighth in Sochi, and the Danes received a penalty of five penalty seconds for failure to return to the track in a safe manner and dropped to ninth.
The stewards’ decision angered Haas team boss Guenther Steiner, who made a radio call after the end of the race.
“Thanks Kevin. Great race and great ride. If it wasn’t for that stupid, idiotic steward, we would be on 8th place. “
Magnussen replied:
Thank you friend. That was absolute b*****.
