Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto has revealed that if Sebastian Vettel had resigned 100 meters later, they could have avoided the virtual safety car that Ferrari won in the Russian GP race.

Sebastian Vettel resigned as a result of the failure of the MGU-Ample hybrid unit after his boxing stop, and the German pitch and virtual safety car were used by the late winner Lewis Hamilton for the stop.

Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto has revealed that Ferrari's attain victory was only about 100 meters short.
