Mercedes will try to make up for its Ferrari gap with a comprehensive update package to be presented by the Brackley team at the next F1 race in Japanese Suzuki.
Following a dominant start to this season, Mercedes found itself lagging behind after a summer break, and Ferrari gained glory in three consecutive F1 races.
Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff admits they have fallen asleep in the silver arrow camp with the development of this year's car, and as a result, they will be bringing new updates to the next race.
“We are working intensively on new updates that will be brought to Suzuka. We are currently trying to optimally allocate resources for the development of this year's car, while also working on the car for the season 2020. With the new package, we will try to eliminate the backlog we found ourselves after the summer break. ”
