Formula 1 proposes active aerodynamics for the 2021 season
According to German AMuS, Formula 1 and FIA are expected to propose to the teams for the season 2021 the active aerodynamics of F1 cars.
The FIA has previously confirmed that the Formula 1 flight 2021 is returning the aerodynamic occurrence of the landmark effect 70. and 80. years that still apply to t.i. the golden age of Formula One.
Formula 1 aims to reduce the negative impact of the air flow from the rear of the car by restoring the floor effect, which will help to increase the number of overtakes, since it will have a negative impact, i. “Dirty air” on a car that wants to overtake significantly less.
At the last meeting of the Formula 1 Technical Group, the idea of active aerodynamics, which could be operated by a racer when driving behind another car, would be an alternative to the DRS system when cornering.
Due to the new rule, the bottom of the F1 car, as compared to the front and rear wings, will generate a significantly lower downforce than the current one, and consequently the air flow behind the car will be significantly cleaner and less turbulent.
