Six out of ten F1 teams have voiced opposition to the latest proposal for a new Formula One rulebook proposed for the season 2021 and contains a drastic budget cap.

Only Mclaren, Renault, Alfa Romeo and Williams agreed with the latest proposal of a new policy submitted to F1 teams by Liberty Media, while everyone else, led by Ferrari and Mercedes opposing.

The Ferrari, Mercedes and Purple Bull teams, meanwhile, have already come up with a proposal that will be considered by the Formula One Technical Group at its next meeting 16. October.

The closing date for the Formula One teams and executives to agree to a technical regulation for the F1 season 2021 is 31. October, otherwise the rule for the season 2021 could also remain unchanged, which could have fatal consequences for any of the smaller teams.

Ferrari could also use its veto power when negotiating a new Concorde deal, although Maranell said they did not want to use those options.
