According to Lewis Hamilton, System 1 should seriously consider the two-day format that Suzuki was forced to use because of the Hagibis typhoon.
System 1 had to cancel Saturday's qualifiers and postpone their Sunday mornings because of the enormous typhoon Hagibis, who reached Japan on Saturday.
The racers thus had a free Saturday while a double challenge awaited them on Sunday.
Hamilton called on Formula 1 to consider using a similar structure several times in the future.
“I personally like this schedule. I think shortening a race weekend would be a very good thing.
