Four races before the end of this year's F1 season are only Mercedes racing drivers in the competition for the World Cup title, with silver arrow boss Toto Wolff ensuring Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are free to fight for laurel.
Hamilton is still leading the race with a considerable advantage 64. points, and Mercedes will give their racers free hands in the fight for the title.
Before the end of this season, Toto Wolff said:
We would have acted contrary to our principles if we had not allowed them a fair fight. Lewis's advantage is high, but Valtteri still has theoretical options. We have already won the title and the racers are now free to fight for the final victory.
