Lewis Hamilton may formally confirm his sixth Formula 1 World Champion title this weekend in Mexico.
Before the last four races of this year's F1 season, only Mercedes drivers remained in the competition for the World Cup title, and Lewis Hamilton had big 64 points ahead of Valtteri Bottas advantages.
In any case, Hamilton has to end the race in Mexico on the podium, and an additional point for the fastest lap in the race will play an important role.
How can Hamilton secure its sixth F1 title at the race in Mexico:
If: | Hamilton becomes world champion if: |
Hamilton wins the fastest lap | Bottas fourth or worse |
Hamilton wins without fastest lap | Bottas fifth or worse |
Hamilton finishes in 2nd place with the fastest lap | Bottas eighth or worse |
Hamilton finishes in 2nd place without the fastest lap | Bottas eighth or worse without the fastest lap |
Hamilton finishes in 3rd place with the fastest lap | Bottas ninth or worse |
Hamilton in 3rd place with no fastest lap | Bottas the tenth or worse cut of the fastest lap |
