Renault has officially confirmed that the French team will be joined by distinguished engineer Pat Fry this season 2020.

Fry will “strengthen the technical leadership of the Enston team following the end of his current contractual obligations,” a statement from French Renualt said in a press release.

Fry previously worked at McLarn, where he played a major role in the development of the MCL 34 car that the Woking team is racing this season . The British had already worked at McLarn between 1993 and 2010, then joined Ferrari where he headed the technical department with Nicholas Tombazis Scuderie.

He spent four years in Maranell, leaving Ferrari after a major disappointment in the season 2014. After a short visit to Manor, which collapsed at the end of the year 2016, Fry returned to Mclaren, but left at the beginning of this season.
