The team of Alfa Romeo Racing has confirmed that it will be racing with an unchanged racing lineup, consisting of Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi next season.
While Raikkonen signed a two-year contract upon joining the team, Antonio Giovinazzi's fate was uncertain for a long time, as the Swiss team also had the option of signing with Nic Hulkenberg.
Alfa Romeo finally decided to continue with its racing lineup, and Giovinazzi thanked the team for their confidence:
“I am very happy to be with the team again for the year 2020. I am grateful for the incredible level of support I received during my first full season in F1. Everyone on the team supports me and I look forward to continuing our journey. We have learned a lot this year and I am sure we will be able to make a big step forward next season. I'm not going to be a rookie in the off-season 2020 and so no more excuses. I want to be competitive from the start of the Championship and to restore the confidence that the team has shown in me. “
