(Motorsport-Complete.com) – For Robert Kubica, the US Grand Prix was not worth the trip. The Pole had to park his Williams prematurely with a hydraulic leak, but the Mountainous Prix has not made him any fun until then.

“It was pretty bad, even worse than bad,” he sums up his race. Friday was not bad, but today (Sunday) it was awful. “

Especially the bumps made the Williams very hard. “Especially at the beginning with a lot of gasoline and a low tire pressure, you feel the blows,” he says. “Especially Turn 2 was really bad, I think the better cars had less problems, but we were really affected by that.”

Even the qualifying session was not a glorious moment for the Pole: as usual he was 20. and last. His backlog on the teammate was half a second. In the race he drove to the field after eleven laps to get hard tires. “The pace was not there, and when you're last, you're trying to cease something,” he says. “You have nothing to lose.”

It ended in round 20 with a hydraulic leak.

Kubica has to survive another two races before his Formula One comeback comes to an end. Nevertheless, he is still looking forward to Brazil: “It's a nice track, hopefully the car will be better there.”
