Lewis Hamilton has won five World Cup titles with Mercedes over the last six years, and many are wondering if the Briton would beat all the competition even if he were behind the wheel of a Ferrari.
Ferrari has been waiting for the World Cup title since the season 2007 when Kimi Raikkonen celebrated with a red car. The longtime president of the legendary Italian brand Luca di Montezemolo is convinced that Lewis Hamilton would have already won the title with Ferrari as well.
Di Montezemolo said of the new World Title won by Hamilton in Radio Rai in Austin:
“Hamilton is a remarkable racer and his achievement is a great tribute to the late Niki Lauda. I think Lewis Hamilton would have won the title with Ferrari at least this season 2018, but that's just my opinion. “
