Lewis Hamilton dismissed allegations that his dominance in recent years was solely linked to the superior Mercedes car, adding that success in Formula One had always depended on both the racer and his car.
Hamilton has already won his sixth world championship title in the US race, and only former teammate Nico Rosberg has won the British title in the last six years 2016.
Many criticized Hamilton so much that his accomplishments were due to the fact that he had an excellent Mercedes car, and the British did not agree with such criticism.
“We have achieved really remarkable things with the team in recent years and I do not think such criticism is correct. This is System 1, which requires both a good racer and a good car to succeed. In F1, no one has ever won a bad car. It is a very complex sport, where various factors decide, but the fact is that Mercedes has done a great job in recent seasons. ”
