Ferrari on a seized engine: It's a routine check
Ferrari was denied the possibility that the FIA had seized their fuel system components due to suspicion of competing teams and stressed that it was merely a routine check to which other teams were subject.
Following the race in São Paulo, the FIA seized the Ferrari fuel system and then issued a new technical directive, which stipulates that a second fuel flow sensor, which will be controlled exclusively by the FIA, must be installed from next season.
Ferrari was denied the possibility that their engine would be subject to an investigation for suspected irregularities.
“This is a routine inspection periodically conducted by the FIA and subjected to other teams. This is not all out of the ordinary, as it is standard mid-season control. ”
