Formula One World Champion 2009 Jenson Button Won't Keep His Off Road Race Debut in the fondest memory, as it stays after a car breakdown 17 hours in the desert.

Button attends the Baja 1000, one of the most prestigious events in the world of endurance off road racing , which he will remember most of all after the special event in the Mexican Ensenada.

The Briton described his experience on Instagram:

“From Baja 1000 we come back with a story to tell, not who we are you want it, but anyway, ”

“We got off to a good start and overtook five race cars, then seven / eight failed ones, catching a really good rhythm in the fast and flowing sections. But then my co-driver Terry Madden heard a really loud bang and we had to stop because of a differential failure. The problem was we found the furthest place to park, which meant we spent the whole night in the desert, so 17 hours under the stars. The only people we saw were other racers who asked us to clean their dirty headlights.
