Red Bull chief Christian Horner said after the end of the race for GP Abu Dhabi that he would be very surprised if Charles Leclerc had taken her down without disqualification.
Before the race, FIE Technical Delegate Jo Bauer confirmed that the commissioners were investigating the car of Charles Leclerc on suspicion of irregularities in the prescribed starting fuel quantity.
In examining the Ferrari car, the FIA found a significant discrepancy between the amount of fuel reported before the race at the Ferrari and the actual measured quantity in the Leclerc car.
Bauer, who found discrepancies in the regular car inspection, referred the matter to the commissioners, who, after the race, decide on a possible penalty for Leclerc, who finished third in Abu Dhabi.
