Mercedes boss Toto Wolff believes Robert Kubica would not have won the Formula One World Cup title if he 2011 did not suffer a serious accident.

Cubic, who was considered one of the most talented racers in the motorsports world over a decade ago, suffered a serious accident with a rally racer that threatened to have his arm amputated.

After a long recovery, the Pole returned to Formula One this year, but his return did not work out as expected due to a very poor Williams car. Kubica is leaving the fastest circus after a year, and Mercedes boss Toto Wolff is confident that the Polish racer will remain part of Formula One in one way or another.

“What Kubica did with his return is truly amazing. If the accident had not happened then, I am sure that by this time he would have been a Formula 1 World Champion this year, he had no luck with the car, but I do not think he has said a last word in Formula One. ”
