Following an average season 2019, which Renault finished in fifth place in the overall constructors' championship, the French team has stopped working with the technical to team directors Nick Chester.
Chester, who has been a member of the Enston team for the last 19 years, has taken over the management of the technical department mid-season 2013, when the then-Lotus left James Allison transferring to Ferrari.
British engineer Renault leaves after an average season in which the French team, despite high financial contributions, failed to live up to high expectations and win at least fourth place in the constructors' championship.
Renault finished fifth in the season, and the team from Enston also fell behind McLaren, who also used the season 2019 drive units of the French manufacturer.
Chester is thus the first victim of a major staff reorganization announced by Renault at the end of the season 2019.
