Eminent Dutch F1 commentator Olav Mol is convinced that Daniel Ricciardo has not brought special added value to Renault, and consequently the French team is no better than it was before his arrival.
Renault entered the latest season with the arrival of Daniel Ricciardo with great expectations, while the French team in 2019, finishing in a modest fifth place in the Constructors’ Championship, falling behind McLaren, who also races with Renault engines.
Longtime Formula 1 commentator on Dutch television, Olav Mol, believes Daniel Ricciardo should show a little more.
“Being a clown of an F1 paddock is not enough. Other than his breakthrough in Brazil GP, he hasn’t shown much throughout the season. I think he should be a little more mature and maybe hit the table with fist when needed. ”
