Mercedes Technical Manager James Allison believes Mercedes has to produce a much faster car for the season 2020 if it wants to beat Ferrari and Purple Bull again .
In the year 2019, Mercedes has won its sixth consecutive title both among drivers and constructors, while both Ferrari and Purple Bull determined to end the dominance of silver arrows next year.
Mercedes Technical Director James Allison said in an interview with AMuS that the Brackley team would take an additional development step next year.
“Not only is Ferrari one to be feared, Purple Bull has an extremely strong team. It is clear that from today the discontinuance of the first Melbourne race, our car still needs to be significantly improved if we are to defeat Ferrari and Purple Bull. It may not be easy, but it is the ultimate challenge for us. ”
