Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto has revealed that the new Maranell team race car will also be red in matte, which Ferrari premiered on the SF car 90.

While Ferrari dominated the long plains throughout the season, Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel had significantly more problems in medium-speed and slow turns.

Ferrari's pre-season 2019 goal is to eliminate problems and design a new car in a way that will allow the Maranell team to fight Mercedes and Crimson Bull on all racetracks, regardless of their configuration.

Team boss Mattia Binotto reveals that Ferrari will consider even the smallest details, including matte color, when designing a new car.

We didn't use matte for aesthetic reasons. By removing the illuminating elements, we obtained several hundred grams. This may sound like a little, but the fact is that in Formula 1 they make small decisions. We are always looking for boundaries and such details must be taken into account. We have made quite a few changes especially in the field of engine architecture, but at the same time it will be a new cylinder. I think we have learned a lot from this year's mistakes and will be able to use that knowledge to develop a new car. We expect to be much faster in curves than we were this year, but most likely we will no longer be the fastest on the plains. “
