“Porsche has achieved countless successes on the racetrack worldwide, not least in the legendary 24 – Le Mans hour race. The demands we place on us are correspondingly high, ”says Amiel Lindesay, head of operations at the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team. “After intensive preparation, we have now arrived in the first fully electric racing series and are playing a major role in shaping the future of motorsport in this environment too,” says regular driver André Lotterer. “We are constantly learning new things,” confirms his colleague Neel Jani: “Especially when we measure ourselves against the competition.”
Success in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship is not only important for motorsport. By bringing innovations from the racetrack into series production, experience from motorsport always has a significant impact on the street sports cars of tomorrow. “Porsche sees itself as a pioneer of sustainable sporty mobility,” explains Malte Huneke, Technical Project Manager of the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team: “Battery-powered vehicles are currently the central topic in the automotive industry with the aim of reducing CO2 emissions. We have already started on our way in this regard. ”
