Truck EM postpones three races

The European Truck Championship (ETRC) has postponed its opening race and two other races. The season stations in Jarama, Le Mans and Misano have been moved to the end of the calendar and are scheduled for autumn. This puts the Slovakiaring in the first place in the schedule. “Our goal is still to run all eight planned race weekends,” says series boss Rolf Werner.

Calendar update for ELMS

The European Le Mans Series (ELMS) has introduced a modified racing calendar. Accordingly, the season opener 2020 should be on 19. July at Le Castellet in France. Silverstone falls out completely. The new calendar therefore only includes five races.

New WEC calendar 2019 / 20 – Hypercar era is just beginning 2021

The endurance world championship (WEC) wants in the current season in addition to the newly scheduled 24 h Le Mans run two more races. MotoGP postpones Le Mans indefinitely

Le Mans wears on 17. May 2020 does not run to the Motorcycle World Championship. The local organizers decided this together with the World Association FIM and Dorna. The race weekend with the classes MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 should be rescheduled at a later date, but there is still no new date, just like for the Gargantuan Prix of Spain in Jerez, which has also been postponed.

Supercars “in the best drop” in June again in use

The Australian Supercars touring cars will hit the track “in the best drop” in June, says series boss Sean Seamer. “But the reality is: Nobody knows for sure when and under what circumstances we can host an event again.” In Australia, for example, races in front of empty spectator stands are considered. After canceling three race weekends, which were planned for April and May, June was already being considered as a comeback date. But Seamer says: “We remain flexible.”

Baku wants Formula 1, but only until October

The canceled city race in Baku is to be rescheduled, but there is no date yet. The local organizers in Azerbaijan are now putting pressure on Formula 1 and say: “We want to hold the race before mid-October.” A decision should ideally be made “by early July”.

Formula 1 only changes 2022 to 18-Inch -Bikes

Due to the coronavirus crisis, the introduction of the new 18 – inch wheels in Formula 1 from 2021 to 2022 has been moved, analogously to the new technical regulations of the racing series. Tire supplier Pirelli also has all 18 – Customs test drives in the season 2020 completely canceled.

Ecclestone: Corona greatest danger for Formula 1

Former Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone believes that the coronavirus disaster is the greatest threat to Formula One. He says: “Even if the pandemic [irgendwann] is no longer a disaster, it is still not easy for Formula 1 to run races.” Driving the Grand Prix could be a “risk”.
