(Motorsport-Total.com) – After crossing the finish line at the season finale 2019 in Abu Dhabi there was a emotional scene in Formula 1. Norris took part in the IndyCar-Teach in iRacing last weekend – which he urged could win . At the event, Norris worked closely with Jarvis. While the virtual Huge Prix series of Formula 1 is primarily designed for entertainment , other Sim Racing events are extremely professional. So professional that Norris recently opted for a real racing engineer.

“It is becoming more and more scientific, there is more and more data. And the programs are getting better and better,” explains Norris opposite 'Sky' for his sim racing trips. Working with Jarvis “helped” him to prepare for the event. In fact, he didn't just get advice from Jarvis. He also spoke to drivers from the McLaren IndyCar project.

“I have with Pato [O’Ward], Ollie [Askew] and Robbie [Wickens] worked “, reveals Norris and explains:” I was able to copy my characteristics and many things that I do on the real track in the simulator. Some are good, some are bad. But it is very good to work on these things can.” Sim racing is not just a hobby for the British, but also coaching.

“Ultimately, it is still a simulation,” says the McLaren driver. “But can look at things and the data in great detail,” explains the 20 year old. This enables the driver to work on the situation-up and keep improving – just like in a real racing car.
