Longtime main Louisiana stock automobile driver Freddy Fryar has died at the age of 86.

Born on Feb. 15, 1936, Fryar gained the Snowball Derby unhurried mannequin special at Florida‘s Pensacola Speedway twice, in 1979 and 1981.

Is named “The Beaumont Flyer,” Fryar made six starts in NASCAR Cup Sequence competition, handing over one top-10 efficiency, ending sixth at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway within the Invoice Ellis Plymouth No. 14 on April 12, 1970.  He executed 15th within the 1971 Daytona 500.

For a time, Fryar modified into an instructor for the Richard Petty Driving Abilities and worked for quite loads of NASCAR groups. He modified into a member of the Alabama Auto Racing Pioneers Hall of Popularity and the Ozarks Auto Racing Hall of Popularity.
