McLaren is apparently facing a new collaboration with the Gulf oil brand zoom Procure

But: McLaren had parked his vehicles in front of a Gulf petrol station, and the emblems of the Gulf oil brand were clearly visible, at least on the Formula 1 car. There was only one comment so far: When asked by ‘Motorsport-Total.com’ McLaren did not want to comment on this special photo shoot and a possible Gulf sponsorship.

Later McLaren showed on Twitter fleeting and deliberately distorted picture, but the tweet about it soon disappeared and is no longer available.

Gulf sponsorship would be a comeback for McLaren

If the supposition of a new partnership between McLaren and Gulf is confirmed, it would be the comeback of an earlier collaboration: Already in the 1960 years battle Gulf appeared as a McLaren sponsor in Formula 1 and again in the 1990 years in the sports car sector.

Up to and including 2019 McLaren maintained a partnership with Petrobras for the supply of gasoline and lubricants. US company Gulf could now succeed the Brazilian group.

Gulf is known in motorsport not least by the 70 years movie “Le Mans” with Steve McQueen, who 24 hours of Le Mans contested.

Das 1901 Founded company Gulf has not been independent since 1984 because it merged with industry competitor Chevron. However, the Gulf brand was retained.
