(Motorsport-Full.com) – Nico Hülkenberg’s Formula 1 adventure is over for the time being. As Racing Level confirms, regular driver Sergio Perez will be back in the car in Barcelona and drive the second racing car alongside Lance Stroll.
“We are pleased to announce that Sergio Perez has tested negative for COVID – ”, so an observation of the team. “The FIA has confirmed that ‘Checo’ will be allowed to return to the Formula 1 paddock. He will drive for the crew at the Spain Gargantuan Prix this weekend.”
Perez was ahead tested positive for the corona virus at the first Formula 1 race at Silverstone and had to skip the two races in Great Britain. A mission in the anniversary race was not fulfilled despite the quarantine, because the Mexican was still tested positive a week later .
Racing Level signed Nico Hülkenberg as a substitute driver. The German was unable to compete in the first Silverstone race due to an engine problem. In the second race he finished seventh after a strong third place on the grid. From now on he has to sit on the bench again.
