That this is the third time Lewis Hamilton would get, that was already certain before Abu Dhabi. COVID – 19 – although he was weakened in the season finale on the track, he was third, but only tenth when we were awarded certificates.

Verstappen’s victory is safe. He is the only driver to get himself from expert Marc Surer (“That makes you want to 2021! “) as well as from the Show 1 editorial team and collects from around 500 Users who took part in the on-line balloting also got the best cut (1.4 to 1 , 8 from Norris and 2.2 from Ricciardo).

Red Bull’s “problem child” Alexander Albon delivered perhaps his best performance of the entire season with fourth place on the track. However, fifth place in our rating is only the second best result after the podium in Mugello for the Thai. For the users, he was only number 6 last weekend.

Renault had “expected more” Surer, but positively rates Ricciardo’s fastest lap in the very last lap. Pierre Gasly praises the former Formula 1 driver from Switzerland for “good fights”, and he rated George Russell critically with Show 4: “I was hoping he would take the momentum from last weekend with him.”

Nicholas Latifi (4): For us the weakest driver this weekend. In qualifying after a spin in Q1 in last place, even behind Fittipaldi in the Haas. That is actually not possible for a regular driver. In the race, however, halfway decent, that saves him from the 5th. Photo gallery

The Idea behind our grading is to evaluate the performances on a weekend and especially in the race with grades (1 = very good, 6 = unsatisfactory). External influences that the driver cannot control themselves should be hidden. And so that not only the editors subjectively evaluate, as is the case with football magazines, we have created a total of three equal pillars with the readers and the experts.

The ultimate driver rating Abu Dhabi 2020:

01. Max Verstappen, show 1.1 (Reader 1,4 – Surer 1 – Editorial 1)

And this is how we calculate:

From the average rating of the Motorsport-Total.com users, the rating by Expert Marc Surer and the rating by our editorial team, we determine the average. Our driver rating is derived from this average value. We only display one decimal place, but we use all decimal places for the calculation. These partially invisible decimal places result in the order of the ranking of two drivers in the event of an alleged tie.
