(Motorsport-Total.com) – Callum Ilott is promoted to Formula 1, but not in the role of a regular driver. As Ferrari announced after the Young Driver Check in Abu Dhabi , Ilott will be 2021 join the traditional Italian team as a test driver.

Ilott had previously announced that he would not compete in Formula 2 for another year. The championship in the junior class had Ilott 2020 lost to Mick Schumacher and finished second overall. ( Call up the final result in the table here! )
Like Schumacher, Ilott belongs to the Ferrari Academy for young drivers and therefore took part in the Young Driver Check in Abu Dhabi for Ferrari customer team Alfa Romeo.
