The new season will start on 21. March in Melbourne (Australia), it will end on December 5th in Abu Dhabi. There are no major deviations from the original calendar design – with one exception: Sao Paulo is back on the calendar because the planned Brazil race on the new route in Rio de Janeiro does not take place.

Even more : Formula 1 will even stay in Sao Paulo for at least five years and has signed a new contract until 2025. From the coming season the race will no longer be called the Brazilian Grand Prix, but the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

For the 25. April is still an open slot on the calendar. The Vietnam Grand Prix was originally supposed to take place there, but it is becoming increasingly unlikely. A replacement race has not yet been determined, but it is said that one of the new routes of the season 2020 could form the new European start . Candidates are Imola, Portimao or Mugello.

Saudi Arabia will host a Formula 1 race for the first time next year and will take place as the penultimate race.

Due to the corona situation, Formula 1 will continue to focus on measures in the coming year to prevent the virus from spreading.
