This season, the legendary Aston Martin brand name will return to the starting grid of Formula 1, but it could get a new owner in the near future.

Aston Martin is owned by fashion billionare Lawrence Stroll, and the British brand is returning to Formula 1 this year at the big door, reinforced by four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel.

Stroll, who previously owned the F1 Racing Point team, saved the famous brand from bankruptcy, and according to prominent F1 journalist Joe Saward, Chinese carmaker BYD is now seriously interested in buying the Aston Martin.

The Chinese company, which has focused its development on the production of electric cars, is expected to see Aston Martin as an ideal opportunity to break into European markets, also due to the close connection of Aston Martin with the Daimler Group.

BYD is thus prepared to deduct £ 4.1 billion to buy, thus ending the era of the Stroll family after only a few years.
