f1-penalty-points:-two-racers-close-to-the-ban-on-competing-in-one-race
Land Norris was joined at the top of the F1 penalty points list by Lance Stroll after the Canadian received two for a collision with Pierre Gasly at Russian GP.

Stroll is during the race collided with Pierre Gasly in Sochi, for which he received a ten-second mark-up penalty, and at the same time the stewards “awarded” him two more penalty points on his super license.

Aston Martin racer already has eight on his account, joining Lando Norris at the top of the rankings.

A racer who receives 12  penalty points in one calendar year, thus earning the worst possible penalty, a ban on competing in one Formula One Grand Prix.

Norris points from his colossal license are deducted only in November and Stroll a good month earlier. Nevertheless, both racers need a “clean” race in Istanbul and Austin, as otherwise, they would have to go on forced rest, which would be a big blow for their teams.
