Martin Brundle urged celebrities visiting the F1 starting lineup – and especially their entourage – to “learn some manners and respect“ our patch ”after an F1 reporter experienced an awkward encounter with an American rapper before a race in Austin.

The organizer of the US Grand Prix has invited many celebrities from many fields to the racetrack in Austin on the race weekend.

While Ben Stiller, golfer Rory Mcllroy, or legendary NBA basketball player Shaquille O’Neal were smiling and easily available for interviews, others walked down the starting lineup as royal members, accompanied by their bodyguards.

Brundle tried to say a few words to rapper Megan Thee Stallion when he was intervened by her bodyguard, who told the legendary reporter to leave the singer alone.

I think she’s a happy… okay boss, ”the brave Brundle told the bodyguard before Megan asked if she had prepared any rap for F1.

“I don’t have rap today, sorry…” MTS politely replied. But things got awkward when a Sky F1 reporter asked the rapper who he was rooting for, before Brundle was contemptuously pushed away by a companion and told he “can’t do that”.

“I can do this because I did,” the former F1 driver replied.

The clip instantly circulated on social media, and Brundle later urged celebrities to learn certain manners in a Twitter post.

“I’ve been under pressure at the starting line before, but by people called Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Mansell, Piquet and so on,” Brundle said. “Bodyguards visiting F1 for the first time don’t bother me, everyone has their own job, but maybe they could learn some manners and respect for our sport and our work.”
