Charles Leclerc spoke about his team-mate Sebastian Vettl and his honors that make him appreciate.

Monacan still gets used to living in a Ferrari where he rides alongside a four-time world champion. Vettla appreciates very much, and in fact he has learned a great deal from him. He revealed what has been the most important lesson he has received so far from his team-mate at Ferrari.

Leclerc managed to climb Ferrari's racing seat in his second season in Formula One after impressing with his performance at Sauber in his first season. In 12 races that took place in the first part of the season 2019, was competitive with Vettl most of the time. He is just behind him before the summer break, just behind 12 points, which places him in 5th place.

The young driver was asked by reporters what he learned from his teammate Vettel during the first half of the season. Leclerc highlighted his precision in the four-time World Champion:

“I think he's so accurate with everything he does with a car. I think this is something I immediately noticed when I first listened to him in a post-workout meeting. I think I'll have to improve in this area. “

Joining a team as big and important as Ferrari takes some time, of course, but young Monacan is pleased with his performances for Ferrari so far.

»As far as I'm concerned, I'm happy with how the first half of the season came to an end. I have made great progress as a driver. Of course, there were some mistakes that I learned from. At the beginning of the season, I think one of my problems was the pace on qualifying. I was struggling at qualifying, I put a lot of effort into it, and I think some races have improved a lot.

Leclerc sees his advantage in rhythm in racing, but he plans to keep trying and improve all the time:

“I think I have a pretty good rhythm in racing from the beginning. However, there are definitely some things I can improve and will continue to do so for the rest of my career. You can always improve. I think that in the field of optimization of car settings, I can still improve. It will come with experience, but I need to test and understand the car more so that I can better lead the engineers in the right direction. “
