Red Bull’s Chief Advisor Dr Helmut Marko is convinced that both Mercedes and Ferrari have copied Red Bull’s concept of developing young drivers, which he has developed.

Over the past two decades, Red Bull has developed a strong racing academy from which many talented young racers, led by Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel, came to Formula One.

The alpha and omega of the Red Bull Junior School has been Helmut Marko for many years, who believes that a similar concept was modeled at Mercedes and Ferrari.

Marko told Japanese Auto Sport Web :

“I must say that I developed this system myself while Mercedes and Ferrari copied my work. Red Bull Youth School is extremely strong as we have a very strong selection of racers. Those with a raw speed who can take an incredible lap are interesting for us. Having a good rhythm in the race doesn’t really help you in the end if you don’t have the speed to qualify good. ”
