Here’s your destination guide to the United Kingdom ahead of the GoPro British Grand Prix

Ahead of the GoPro British Grand Prix, you might want to travel around the many corners of the British Isles to witness the tradition and history that the United Kingdom is steeped in. Whether you head straight to the picturesque British countryside around Silverstone in the south of the Midlands or visit the immense capital London, travelling to the UK is an enriching experience.

London is one of the world’s most important cities, one of the largest in Europe and the second most popular city on the planet for tourists after Bangkok in Thailand, with 20 million people paying a visit annually. You could spend two weeks in England’s capital and still have plenty more to see with the city’s many monuments, parks, palaces and bustling shopping districts.

Elsewhere in the UK, you could visit ‘God’s Own Country’ – Yorkshire. The UK’s largest county includes the Lake District, York and lively cities like Leeds and Sheffield.  If you want to stay in the south, either the Cotswolds or Cornwall are known for their beauty. Plus, outside of England, you have either the Scottish Highlands or the mountains of Wales, which are both wonderful places to spend a few days.

Wherever you decide, Great Britain offers a plethora of wonderful destinations to visit. But make sure you tuck into some fish and chips or a bit of afternoon tea to get the full British experience.
