Lewis Hamilton was pleased with Mercedes' pace after the end of his first race day at the Spa Francorchamps, but the current World Champion points out that it will be very difficult to beat the Ferrari on the Belgian fast track.

Ferrari took the first two places on both Friday's free practice, and Hamilton was eight hours behind the best time in the afternoon.

After another free training session, the Briton stressed that Ferrari was the favorite to win Sunday's race this time.

“We have a relatively good rhythm, but Ferrari is exceptional here. In the first sector alone, we lost eight tenths and we cannot do much here. In the other sector, though, we are compensating for something, which is certainly not enough to overcome them. I don't see a way to beat them here, but we will do our best. “
