Mclaren racer Carlos Sainz is convinced that despite his youth, Max Verstappen has almost reached the level where five-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton is racing.
Carlos Sainz, who is in very good shape this season, has evaluated some of his racing rivals prior to the Italian GP in talks with Movistar.
“I would give Hamilton a rating of 9 out of 10. Ever since Rosberg left Mercedes, the race has been under significantly less pressure and it's really hard to beat him. Max is almost as good as Lewis in my opinion, but occasionally he does make the mistakes he has in Belgium. Bottas is always somewhere close, but somehow he fails to finish the job. Hamilton has something difficult to explain.2
