Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) has beaten all competition in the qualifying rounds in Monza and will start tomorrow's race for the Italian GP from the best starting position. Second place went to Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) will start from third.

Leclerc was the lucky winner of the lottery at the end of the qualifiers, when no one was able to start the last fast lap in time to tact and search for a lee.

In the third qualifying round, Kimi Raikkonen lost control of his car in Parabolica and collided with a guardrail. This was followed by a red flag and suspension of qualifications.

For Leclerc, the first fast lap was enough for the pole positio to outrun both Mercedes racers for everything 21 thousandths of a second.

Sebastian Vettel will start behind the top three, with Renault, Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hulkenberg taking fifth and sixth places respectively.

Carlos Sainz (Mclaren) took seventh place and Alexander Albon (Red Bull) placed eighth.

The top ten were complemented by Lance Stroll (Racing Point) and Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo).

Max Verstappen failed to set a fast time in the first part of the qualifiers, but the Dutch would start the race anyway from the start of the starting line because of the penalties for starting places.
