An unnamed member of the medical staff at Georges-Pompidou Hospital in Paris, where the now legendary Michael Schumacher is located, is expected to announce to the media that the seven-time Formula One World Champion is “conscious” and aware of his surroundings.
The legendary German racer is still recovering from a severe ski accident of the year 2013, and his medical condition remains a closely guarded secret to this day.
According to Paris Le Parisien , the Germans have been brought in strict secrecy to Paris, where he will be given a cardiovascular ward at Georges-Pompidou Hospital special cell therapies led by renowned surgeon Philipp Menasch, described by the French media as the pioneer of cell surgery in preventing heart failure.
One employee at a Paris hospital who wished to remain unnamed disclosed to the French media certain details of Germany’s medical condition:
“Michael is in my ward and I can claim to be ‘conscious’ and aware of his surroundings.”
Michael Schumacher was 2013 with his then 600 – went to his summer son Mick and friends to ski in Meribel in the French Alps. At one point, Michael saw that his friend’s daughter needed help and drove to an unmarked area between the two lanes. At the time, Michael slipped, hit his head against a rock, and suffered serious brain injuries through bleeding despite wearing a helmet. Subsequent reconstruction of the event revealed that Schumacher did not ski at high speed in the fall, but if he did not wear a helmet he would most likely die on the ski slope.
