After Nico Hulkenberg lost his seat on the Renault team, Germany's future in Formula 1 has come under considerable doubt. Although the German admits he would most like to become Max Verstapp's teammate at Red Bull, he is also aware that this is not the most realistic option.
After unsuccessful negotiations with the Haas team, which extended his contract with Romain Grosjean, Hulkenberg found himself in a difficult position and his future in Formula One hangs on the line.
