Charles Leclerc [Ferrari] overcame all competition with a sovereign performance at the Sochi Qualifiers and will start tomorrow's race for the GP of Russia from the best starting position. Monacan was faster than Lewis Hamilton [Mercedes] by a good four tenths of a second, with Sebastian Vettel [Ferrari] taking third place.

Charles Leclerc achieved a remarkable time of 1m at the end of qualifying despite a mistake in the last sector 28. 550 s, which was four tenths of a second faster than Lewis Hamilton, while Sebastian Vettel was third in the third place 16 thousandths of a second.

Max Verstappen [Red Bull] is ranked in the top three, but due to the penalty of five starts tomorrow's race will start from the 9th starting position. After a major mistake in the back of the qualifiers, Valtteri Bottas [Mercedes] won the fifth start.

Official: Mclaren Returns to Mercedes

Very good sixth place went to Carlos Sainz [Mclaren], who was slightly faster than Nice Hulkenberg in Renault.

Lando Norris [Mclaren] placed eighth, with Romain Grosjean [Haas] and Daniel Ricciardo [Red Bull] top ten. .
